Extend daylight-saving time?
As a step to save energy, US Congress may extend daylight-saving time for two months, starting it earlier, on the first Sunday in March, and ending it later, on the last Sunday of November. Most Americans like the idea of daylight deeper into the evenings, The Wall Street Journal said. Among the criticisms is that it would force children to travel to school in the dark. And it would put U.S. schedules further out of synch with Europe.
Oh and it would piss off Canada.
Since the US and Canada are the world's largest trading partners, it would have been nice of them to discuss the idea with us first.
I guess we're either with 'em or against 'em!

Ontarians can email the government to let politicians know what they think of the idea.
The email address is daylightsaving@jus.gov.on.ca.
Okay, you crazy Canuck, consider yourself "consulted."
Of course, those of in the South will first have to learn how to tell time before we can complain or endorse the concept.
However, I have the sneaking suspicion the real reason you Moosehead-swilling-frost-bitten "Neighbors to the North" are wary of the time change is that you have no particular desire to spend more waking hours gazing at the frozen tundra outside your window.
Of course, I could be wrong......
