There's a story in the Star today about kids in Malvern who have become amateur photographers. Their impressive photos are now on exhibit in Toronto Police 42 Division.
The kids are being provided free disposable cameras from the police and the United Way. It's a smart idea on a creative level. They should be posting their images on a photo blog too though, to share with the city. How many people will visit 42 Division to view the shots?
Not only does this provide a creative outlet for kids, but it could also help solve crime if every kid is armed with a camera. I suggest they all watch City of God for further inspiration...not to mention the movie is freakin' amazing! Watch the trailer here.
