Razor Blades

There's an article in the Toronto Star today about Gillette introducing a new razor called Fusion. The big deal about Fusion is that it has five blades.

To me the big deal about five blades is not the alledged closer shave, but the price of the replacement blades. According to the Star, Gillette said it's planning to charge $9.99 (all prices U.S.) for the razors, $1 more than its Mach3 brand, and $12 to $13 for a four-pack of replacement cartridges. In Canada, the Mach3 razor sells for just under $13 Canadian, while the replacement blades sell for less than $15 for a package of four. Canadian prices for the new Fusion razor weren't disclosed.

I think the Onion nailed this scam on the head when they published this article in Feb, 2004: Fuck Everything, We're Doing Five Blades

Why can't they come up with something original instead...like...hmmm...how about a razor that will reach your hairy back?

Speaking of Gillette, I came across this creapy site about Gillette's hidden cameras...check it out!
I think it's time we men burn our blades!
What do you say fellas?
