Sony gets busted for their flog

Oh oh, Sony just got busted with creating yet another flog (fake blog). Don't these PR companies get it? Didn't their mothers teach them anything?

Honesty is the best policy. There, I said it.

Wal-Mart tried to make you believe you were following a lovely couple traveling across 'merica (I say that in a Bush accent, because it just seems to fit when talking about Wal-Mart) visiting Wal-Marts in Wal-Marting Across America.

Wal-Mart's scam turned out to be that the couple were actually a pair of journalists hired by a PR company to create a blog. Nice try folks.

Sony's alliwantforxmasisapsp was suppose to be some hip and cool blog to help promote their new PSP (like they need any help!). The message posted today reads:

Busted. Nailed. Snagged. As many of you have figured out (maybe our speech was a little too funky fresh???), Peter isn't a real hip-hop maven and this site was actually developed by Sony. Guess we were trying to be just a little too clever. From this point forward, we will just stick to making cool products, and use this site to give you nothing but the facts on the PSP.

Sony Computer Entertainment America

Some how, I don't think the kids are going to protest the new PSP, but Sony should get a slap upside the head for trying to outsmart their customers.

Update Thursday, December 14 @ 5:05 PM: THIS JUST IN!
