Happy Canada Day???

What a weekend!
We spent the week moving boxes over to our new place in the Beaches. I drove my wife to the airport in Buffalo on Canada Day. It didn't feel right driving to the States on Canada Day; not to mention the journey itself. A usual 1 - 1 1/2 hours from Toronto took 5 freakin' hours!!!

We snail-paced our way to the border listening to CBC's 50 Tracks count down to the best Canadian music ever www.cbc.ca/50tracks/essentialcanadianmusic.html.
A really good list, although The Barenaked Ladies at #2 seemed wrong. "Proud to be a Canadian" by The Dayglo Abortions was mysteriously missing from the list too - I wonder why? www.godrecords.com/media/proud2be.mp3

Saturday morning I woke up, met the movers and my brother, and we began the big move. This lasted all day. I was up until 1:30 am unpacking and trying to get things organized.

Sunday morning I waited from 8am - 11am for Rogers to come hook up my cable and hi-speed. They arrived around 10:45am and were there until 5pm. It seemed there were some complications in the cabling of the house. . .

Next Saturday I get to wait all day for Rogers to return to re-cable the house. It should take between 4 - 8 hours! Luckily they'll be there some time between 8am - 11am. If I sleep-in, I'll miss them. If I'm up and ready by 8am, they'll be there at 11am.
Damned if I do...damned if I don't.

Sorry. Just thought I'd bitch about my weekend. Feels better.
Thanks for listening (err, reading).
